The Tony Award-winning Old Globe has been one of the leading regional theaters in the nation for over 80 years and is dedicated to supporting American theater through exceptional performances, support for theater professionals, and education of audiences and the community. The Old Globe’s productions, theater education activities, and community programs draw over 250,000 people each year. The Old Globe can be found at The Old Globe.

San Diego, California, June 10, 2016: The Old Globe unanimously voted Michael Taylor, President of NWB Environmental LLC (NWB), to be the newest member of the 56 member Board of Directors at a meeting on Monday, June 6, 2016.

Michael Taylor leads NWB Environmental LLC in ongoing community outreach, and this core value of community-building connects NWB with missions like that affirmed by the Old Globe.

The Arts Engagement Committee of the Old Globe is dedicated to strengthening connections between the Old Globe and diverse neighborhoods in San Diego, including communities of ethnic and economic backgrounds that typically are not represented in theater audiences. One of the committee’s initiatives, Globe for All, focuses on bringing theater to underserved and diverse audiences across generations. “I couldn’t be prouder,” said Freedome Bradley-Ballentine, Director of Arts Engagement.  “Michael’s excitement and love of our art form, and his desire to make theater matter to more people are in complete alignment with our values. We welcome his opinions on making art accessible to audiences throughout San Diego. Michael’s presence affirms the Globe’s desire to increase diversity and inclusion at every level of the institution.”

Taylor looks forward to supporting the Old Globe’s mission by participating on the board’s Finance Committee and Arts Engagement Committee. “I am truly honored by the opportunity to be a part of the Old Globe family,” Taylor said.
